Banyan Utilities Pte Ltd is a Joint Venture company between Federal International (2000) Ltd and Utility Development Corporation Pte Ltd. Federal International is in the oil & gas related business and listed on Singapore Exchange. Utility Development Corp is an energy and utility solution provider with EPC capability.

The cogeneration plant located in Jurong Island is highly efficient plant that has an optimal output capacity of 5MW of electricity and of 45 Tons/hr (with the capability to provide an additional 20%) of steam. The efficiency of the plant is about 82.5%.
 
The project activity achieves green house gas emission reduction by replacing more carbon intensive fossil fuel with natural gas. Since plant is contributing to the mitigation of global change, the project is developed as a Clean Development Mechanism project.
